For decades, players and fans were robbed by a flawed system. Every time we’ve expanded the College Football Playoff, lower seeds have proven the old system completely wrong.  As within so many playoffs the 1 and 2 seats are not the winners. 

In 2014, during the first year of the 4-team playoff, the No. 4 seed Ohio State Buckeyes defied the odds and won it all. Fast forward to the 12-team playoff, and now the championship is between the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds.

This is exactly why we needed a real playoff. Thank God we finally have it. The old system stole countless teams the opportunities they deserved. Shame on it for denying so many their chance to shine.
